When will it be the last time...

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

This is from Isaiah 53:5-6. It's the reminder that Jesus paid for our sins through His sacrifice on the cross. We have gone our own way, but we have an opportunity today to turn from our selfishness and turn back to the God who created us.

When will it be the last time that we see each other? As I was leaving the office Friday evening one of our warehouse workers was driving onto the lot. We both smilled and waived at each other...for the last time ever. For the second time last week a wrong way driver took anothers' life. Saturday morning at 2:55 he and one of his friends (another of our warehouse workers) were killed in an accident on the freeway.

My two friends did not know the Lord. This reminds me of our responsibility to each other: to share the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to all we come into contact with throughout our lives. Life on this earth is short. Nobody knows when God has ordained to take us home.

If you don't know the Lord today take the time to contact me or another friend of yours who knows Him. Allow Him to transform your life. I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

It's certainly put many things into perspective.
